About CIBER
The Center for International Business Education and Research (CIBER) at the University of Kansas is part of a nationwide network of 31 CIBERs selected for the strength of their international programs. Across the U.S., CIBERs provide services and programs to help American business excel in the global marketplace. CIBERs are funded by the U.S. Department of Education, with additional support provided by each CIBER institution. Established in 1999, the KU CIBER serves as a catalyst for curricular, research, and outreach programs centered in the KU School of Business, in partnership with the University's area study centers, foreign language departments, and other campus units.
Mission Statement
KU CIBER contributes to the Business School's efforts to assure that its graduates are fully aware of the importance of, and are properly equipped with the critical skills necessary to conduct global business and manage a culturally diverse transnational workforce.
KU CIBER fosters and develops active partnerships with international Area Studies Centers, professional schools, language departments, and interested faculty across the University for the benefit of our students.
KU CIBER actively engages in collaborative activities with businesses in Kansas and beyond to promote learning and expertise in international business.
KU CIBER will contribute to the University's goal that every student have a significant international experience while at KU. Accordingly, our long-term goal is that every KU business graduate will be astute in the dynamic realms of global business, global economics and the global workforce. Our business graduates will be second to none in their international capabilities and will be valued by their employers for their understanding of, expertise in, and contributions to the international arena.
